TOMODACHI Toshiba Science & Technology Leadership Academy!

The TOMODACHI Toshiba Science & Technology Leadership Academy (TTA) is an annual one-week, cross-cultural “Science Technology Engineering” and Math (STEM), exchange and leadership program for students and teachers from both Japan and the United States.


TTA 2016 was a great success!

This year's TOMODACHI Toshiba Academy was a great success. The students and teachers from both U.S and Japan were participated and gathered at the Yoyogi Olympic Center, Japan. They worked together to encourage cross-cultural Science and Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as promote understanding and create friendship.

TTA 2015 was a great success!

This year the program took place between August 4th to 11th 2015. US and Japanese participants were together for 8 days and worked together to develop a disaster resilient, smart community for the future. Participants were high school students and teachers from the U.S and Japan. They were divided into teams consisting of both countries and they carried out most of the activities based on “STEM” education.

Bill Nye the Science Guy

Bill Nye, the Science Guy himself, was in Tokyo at the start of August to share inspiration, advice and his quirky sense of humor with the participants in the inaugural TOMODACHI Toshiba Science and Technology Leadership Academy.


TTA 2014

The inaugural edition of the TOMODACHI Toshiba Science & Technology Leadership Academy (TTA) was held from August 1st until August 8th, 2014 in Tokyo. After the successful edition of the program in 2014, we are getting ready for TTA 2015.
